Recycling Recommendations

Staples and other office supplies stores take empty cartridges in-store for recycling.
But there are some important details you need to consider:

1. Staples offers:
   • In-store recycling in a local Staples Store, for drop-off in the designated recycling boxes.
   • Note that recycling services are not available at all locations.
     Please contact your local store here to confirm what recycling services are available.
   • Staples drivers can also collect empty cartridges and used electronics at the time of your next delivery.
     However, since they are currently doing contactless deliveries, it is recommended to leave the empty cartridges at your door.
2. Go to recyclemyelectronics.ca to find other nearest recycling points in your area.
   • ❗️Every recycling center has its requirements, whether it’s the type of cartridges they take (OEM/remanufactured/compatible), specific cartridges models, amount or weight of the box, etc.
     Therefore, please contact the recycling center to ensure they can cover your request.
3. Recycle with Electronic Recycling Association by mail or at depots.
   • Drop your cartridges off at ERA’s depots anytime from 9 to 5 on workdays without any need for an appointment.
   • Request Shipping Labels here.
   • Please note that ERA have a fee for recycling of C$1.5 per pound.
4. For compatible toner and drum units recycling you can use PrintersPlus Toner Recycling Program.
   To get pre-paid waybills, the package must contain 6 or more toners.
